In the car, on a three hour drive to the Taj Mahal, our team is on the tail end of a seven-countries-in-seven-days Southeast Asia tour for an upcoming story. In the meantime, my mind wanders to the suitcase that will make it's way home with me tomorrow for 2 days to celebrate Echo's birthday before it is emptied and filled again for a trip to a very different part of the globe. The next two weeks will be spent in Milan and Paris for their respective fashion weeks and I'll be taking you along with me, naturally. If you want to get your hands on anything from the shows - or just spend a good half hour salivating - sites like Moda Operandi allow you to pre-order straight from the runway via their topnotch trunkshows. (Today, for instance, is the trunkshow of New Yorker, queen of volumized vintage and sculpture Rosie Assoulin!) As a digital nod to the closing of New York Fashion Week here is a story Lauren and I did on the streets of Soho a few months back in a piece by one of my favourite local Filipino labels; Basic Movement - the fluted sleeves are enough to send me in a daze if the Taj Mahal doesn't.
