Like many of you, it was one of the first blogs I ever saved to my bookmarks. Scott Schuman is undoubtedly one of the most influential names in street style photography. When my manager emailed me if I wanted to shoot with Scott Schuman in less than 24 hours, it didn't occur to me it was THE Scott Schuman until I read the words "The Sartorialist". I've been fascinated by his endeavour to capture the era we live in through our sartorial choices and how our fashion choices have the power to unite us through our diversities. I found this film incredibly insightful about the man behind the lens and what fuels his passion. The day of the shoot he had me balancing on one foot, fixing one heel, holding my bag and talking on the phone and guess what...it was totally worth the cramps. He could have asked me to do cartwheels in a monkey suit and I would have obliged.
These are some behind the scenes shots of my super fast shoot (and the succeeding fangirl moments over lunch with Echo). The campaign for the SM Mega Fashion Hall starts this month! Thank you SM for allowing me to be a part of something so memorable. I never, ever would have thought I would be involved in a shoot such as this. It really is a dream come true.
