You guys already know how much I love the power of the online blogging platform and the copious amounts of creative freedom and expression it can yield. But on a more personal note, it’s truly a blessing to create photos and memories that will last a lifetime. My new friend Jane took these shots from a distance, often unbeknownst to me, during a recent shoot I did with Ynigo Santos. When I had a look at her photographs I was pleasantly reminded that two different sets of eyes can perceive identical settings so differently and so uniquely. (Speaking of which, have you seen Baz Luhrmann’s adaptation of F. Scott Fitzgerald’s The Great Gatsby yet?) I love how she got all of my “in-between” moments. When one camera wasn’t clicking away, hers was. I love how she caught my adoring gaze at Zorro, me rectifying my lipstick in the side mirror of our car, reveling in my lavish surroundings and most of all how she snapped Echo and I sharing a giggle. This woman has got some serious talent, not to mention she’s an absolute darling and generous! She also included some rather comedic, usual goofball faces of mine, but I won’t make you suffer so they remain safely locked away on my hard drive for the meantime. Perhaps I’ll share them with you one day. Perhaps.
