Freshly brewed lavender tea is the most amazing beverage on the planet. 2. Mich Araullo's design was made to be worn in lavender fields and 3. Samantha Feyen is a secret ninja flower crown aficionado.  10am on a Friday morning, I met Sam up in the mountains at Alii Kula Lavender Farm, where the clouds rest between the trees and the chill bites - a very different Hawaiian experience. In no time at all she was plucking flowers from their stems curiously wandering around the farm hunting for the "pretty little ones".  A few twisting manoeuvres using grass and we had a fast and fabulous flower crown to complement this very different side of Maui and this crisp, white piece by young designer Mich Araullo. Careful not to disturb the content apian community we shot for a few minutes before settling down in the cafe where I enjoyed my first ever lavender tea and scones nestled cosily on the fringe of Haleakala mountain.

(Warning: terrible pun ahead)

…It was a bee-autiful way to spend a Friday morning.
