While I'm simultaneously fending off jet lag and trying to wrap my head around the fact that my last minute escapade to Los Angeles has well and truly been and gone, I'm going back to Paris. Sort of. On the final day of PFW with L'Officiel Manila I attended the Louis Vuitton show at their grand cultural center/art museum namesake Fondation just outside of Paris. My strategic choice of Airbnb left me over-confident in timing the distance and a stressful 30 min after scrambling to get to my Uber I found myself running (literally running) past the dormant queue of cars full of fashion people equally stressing to reach the same place. Flustered, and after hilariously seating myself in an allotment that my miniature beagle would struggle to squeeze into, the lights dimmed and it was showtime. What followed was a felicitous story of the Louis Vuitton woman in a digital utopia with sci-fi enthusiast Ghesquiere sending down a game-changing collection of motorcycle jackets, bubble skirts and damier leather mitts befitting of the modern day/future facing women that we are.
